Hello dear ones,

Take your heart and mind back to 1999 for a moment. What were you doing? How were you feeling? Take some time to recollect “the you” that lived then, what were your fears and hopes? Do you even recognize who you were?

We have come a very long way since then, now haven’t we? Our collective lessons have been associated with speed, a speed that the Age of Aquarius seems to harness like a log.

To rewind the video of life to 1999 comes with reason, you see, what if this Black Moon month of February 2018 can pull into the present, a concealed personal potential of that old version of you? Before I go into the specifics of how and why this is possible, I will touch on the Astrological and Mystical significance of when there is no Full Moon in a calendar month.

The label “Black Moon” is a label of many meanings and one of them (the one I am referring to now) is when there is no Full Moon in a calendar month. Some Astrologers would call this cosmic event the “Lilith Moon.” The last time a no Full Moon month happened was in February 1999.

We always hype up Blue Moons, this is fair because we can witness their graciousness and they light up the entire sky and leave us in a trance like awe. It is completely normal that we notice them! Black Moons, on the contrary, are rarely spoken of….but…are equally as important and to the Mystics even more so.

Think of a no Full Moon month as a storehouse of energy, energy that is hidden, concentrated and raw. The lack of obviousness to this presence makes us drowsy and our need for solid rest coagulates.

This deep rest that we long for, is actually a good thing because, it will make the cosmic transmissions easier. When in a restful place, the energetic transference can enter us and rejuvenate the cells to awaken the hidden bits.

It is no coincidence that a Black Moon month coincides with the Ecliptic portal and the Lunar New Year. This to the wise ones is a month of “certainty.” A month where whatever we were meant to do and did not do… will happen.

I see February as the silent killer, the killer of fears, unnecessary dreams and focus points. The blessing here is, it’s as though we wont actually have to do anything to make things happen. They will simply happen and….wearing the costume of CHANGE!

A no Full Moon month, to the Astrologers is like a New Moon set on fire. The darkness of the month calls for subconscious renewal, cleansing and also a deep surrendering to the subtle mysteries. Even if we cannot see or comprehend what is happening, the energies are active and completing their mighty tasks.

We as observers, can work with this prolonged pitch-black night to set a multitude of intentions, ones that will take us through the next 20 years. I say this because; a Black Moon month like this one, only happens every couple of decades and the power of intention setting under such influences in stronger than usual.

Think of a Black Moon month as an opportunity to purge, with the support of the Eclipses and Lunar New Year, your bound to feel like a new born baby come April.

Now, back to 1999….

…..the Mystics of the world believed (and still believe) that every no Full Moon month (sometimes called a February Moon) had the capacity, to rekindle us with our forgotten aims. Normally these aims are in alliance with the aspirations of the year the previous no Full Moon month shared. So what this means is, whatever we forget to fulfill in 2018, that has significant importance, will come back to bite us in approximately 20 years from now. This exact same theme is taking place this month and it is linked to 1999. So, what is coming back to nibble on your ear? Are you experiencing any resonance? I know I am.

New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Aquarius

The Solar Eclipse in Aquarius, will mark an end to our in-between Eclipses portal and draw a line that marks the closing conclusion, to many experiences that have been shaping us since August 2017. This is it, things are about to get so much clearer and we will be fresh in our collective frequency come this April. I keep mentioning the month of April because it really is a precious time. Not only are we heading towards a new degree of collective understanding but we are also finding new ways to heal and our tolerance levels are increasing as a whole. The princess and the pea syndrome just wont be possible anymore….as this universe expands and contracts (wink wink.)

Some Closing Notes

The Lunar New Year of the Earth Dog commences on the 16th of February 2018. Earth Dog energy is loyal, steadfast, responsible, fun and committed. It will be a beneficial year to revise where our loyalties live and who or what we can rely on. My intuitive hunch is that we can gain long lasting and sincere friendships this year. There is also an element of simply sticking to the tasks at hand, getting on with everything and without delay. Our planet Earth will also be calling for our loyalty, our love and our friendship….so please be loyal to her. She needs it the most.

An Astrological Update

Did someone say Lunar Eclipse in Leo?

Yes, you heard correctly and we can expect to see the Full Moon grow darker from approximately 22:30 to 03:00 UTC on the 10th to 11th.

Many expect this to be a Total Lunar Eclipse but it will only be visible as a Penumbral Eclipse. It’s actually not often that the Astrologers I know over do their statements about cosmic events and when they do I automatically think it is for a useful reason.

To me, this Eclipse WILL have the power of a Total Eclipse.

The fact that this Lunar Eclipse is in such a potent and solar powered sign like Leo equals to a very auspicious union of energy.

The Eclipse will amplify dramatic levels of awakening for so many and will not let us rest until we step into the limelight of our own creative passions including loving more, giving more, receiving more and allowing our hidden talents to be recognised.

In order for some of us to learn we may get slapped around by the energy of this obviously fiery time. We need to be careful to not have any accidents or injuries and instead aspire for confidence to face the jewel that is being offered here. It is a jewel because it has a high dosage of truth attached to it and the fire element in Astrology cannot wait for us to “get it” or “understand” it just takes action even if we are ready or not. This is why wishing to NOT MISS the blessing of this Eclipse and the awakening support it provides is needed.

We are entering a time of nobility and making good use of our common sense between right and wrong. Sometimes it really is as basic as yes and no or black and white. We either like something or we do not, we either behave or we do not, we either walk away or we continue on and the black and white, clear-cut truth is ever so available now.

To work with this energy we need nobility and action, to act from a place of sincerity and to not care too much about what “needs to appear correct” on an external level. Being noble is about being honest and most importantly maintaining a sense of dignity or truthfulness.

A lot of fame can come from this astrological time and when we look into the meaning of the word FAME we can find a deeper significance. Let us challenge this now… when you hear the word fame, what does it mean to you? Do you automatically assume it means to have some form of public eminence? Is it only a word that refers to outer recognition? The dark side of Leo demands to be known, to be heard and to be seen. When the Leo energy is used correctly it goes beyond popular interest and enters a healthy land of nobility. Nobility is fame without the effort and without the expectation! Learn from this and you will find your magnificence.

The benefits of this Eclipse and how to use it:

  • start to do more of what we really want and be more of who we really wish to be
  • focus on creative projects and passions
  • have a tantrum of truth, let it all out, scream and cry (with an episode of laugher a few hours later)
  • dance more and express through the arts
  • make a movie, write a story, sing a song and be heard
  • open our hearts to our community, to our world and hear how much wants to be expressed. the world is talking and we need to listen
    allow recognition for a job well done and give credit to oneself where needed
  • appreciation is so important and to not take what is precious in our lives for granted. this eclipse wants us to share our love and true feelings without pride or fear
  • be extremely generous and try to give at least once to someone you do not know and may not ever see again. any gesture of sincere generosity is encouraged
  • be confident and magnetise the better parts of you

This IS a very boosting time astrologically but it is just that things are moving so fast and the power that is dancing in the air may intimidate us. We need to remember to not be scared and to keep it simple. If you want to avoid the dark side of a Leo infused Lunar Eclipse the trick is to keep it simple. Use your common sense and have valor when taking action.

There are already enough dark sides of this moon being activated on a global level and since we (the common people) are still the majority, we must use this power by being sincere and keeping the flame of noble-heartedness alive.

What use is a world of hate? What use is a human life if we do not use our ability to empathize and actually care for others? The times are too messy now to even begin to comprehend so it is wiser to keep it simple and be proud to still know right from wrong. We need to be proud to still be able to feel what is beneficial or not, to be able to recall what is love and to still have a choice, a freedom of how to be!

There is definitely cosmic magnificence available and this Eclipse commands it so…please please please, walk through the fire of feelings and you will begin to feel beneficially alive again. This is because you will learn to express at levels you yourself forgot was even possible. All of this loud and vibrant truth is needed before the Solar Eclipse in Pisces on the 26th.

It is actually rare that we are given the chance to burn with a soothing rain to follow. If we trust in this fire, the rain to come will pacify and not drench us. The soothing rain is the Eclipse in Pisces and in order to be ready, all of this is needed first. May it be a healing, fun and clarity bringing time with many blessings.

Anyone who has a strong Leo, Aquarius, Virgo or Pisces placement in their Birth Chart will feel the impact of these times most and please note that the influence of Eclipses lasts several months. How we apply ourselves this February will influence many of the months to come.

If you need to make serious life changing choices, this is the month to do it and it is also a month full of blessings that will support what we really need. I encourage everyone to use the in-between Eclipse time for reflection, prayer and cutting cords where necessary. This in-between eclipse time (the 11th night to the 25th night) is one of the most powerful in-between Eclipse periods that we will get to taste for a long stretch. The grandness of the intergalactic support for those who really wish to advance spiritually is at a peak now so please use it carefully.

Full Moon in Aquarius (Almost Lunar Eclipse)

Where does it come from, this will to continue? Does it stem from our nature; an inevitable fact? Does it arise from our sophisticated pride? Is it caused by our unavoidable responsibilities? Or…. are we simply idealistic beings always believing that something better will come about?

This Full Moon will have us pondering on such questions and will provoke us to look at the GREATER PICTURE, to see and feel how linked up we are to so much more than just ourselves.

Bravo to so many of us who recently had to make life changing decisions and considering this planetary influence the decision would have been surprising. I can assure you though that most decisions made around this Full Moon will put us straight back onto the right path.

In Astrology we are compelled, influenced and tickled by the planets and stars. This statement seems to negate free will however if we ask the question “has mankind the ability to overcome the pressures of the cosmos” the answer would be yes.

There is always s-o-m-e-t-h-i-n-g manipulating and maneuvering our every second yet we regularly forget just how “out of control” we actually are. It is time to be a little more aware of the every day pushes and pulls and Astrology can help.

To work with Astrology assists us in knowing how to make the most of certain elements, influences and cosmic events. It teaches us (if worked with properly) what energetic waves to surf on and when.

I bring this all up now because we have indeed entered Eclipse season and our planetary influences will be crowning over the next 10 weeks. I will have much to say and share about this as the weeks pass.

Thinking about all this, know that we can overcome the grandiose pressures of the cosmos if we choose to work with the supportive facts that arrive with the various upcoming Astro events.

Lets talk about the importance of this particular “almost” Eclipse and Full Moon in Aquarius.  When we think of Aquarius we think of FREEDOM and not just any FREEDOM but one that promotes unpredictable expressions.

If the world is walking to the left the Aquarian energy will happily rebel to the right. This can be seen as predictable yet the key theme here is not to conform or do what is PREDICTABLE. Aquarius wants what is best futuristically and generally on a humanitarian level. It also needs to be fuelled by invention and expansion that encompasses more than just petty detail.

Since this almost Lunar Eclipse is singing on the Aquarian Star we can predict a shower of unpredictable expression (incoming and outgoing). We can also guarantee that ALL of us will be compelled to rise up to a level of being that cares for the greater purpose and wants to think about the world, all its people and how we do have a role in serving each other collectively.

I know this may not be as specific as you wish so to narrow it down I will tell you that whatever crazy impulsive feelings you have experienced over the last 2 weeks are directly connected to this Full Moon. Allot of the “out of this world” ideas that support inventive projects are worth your while. If you have been yearning for community and social outings this too is connected.

To maximize this Full Moons magic over the next 3 days, consider the following:

  • attend group / social spiritual gatherings or humanitarian workshops
  • write down all the “out of this world” ideas that pop into your creative mind
  • pursue at least one of the “out of this world” ideas
  • inspire and support underprivileged youth
  • connect with children and play fun games that connect you with your inner child
  • make jewelry
  • think of ways to contribute to your local environment / community
  • think big
  • join / support a cause
  • dance an electric dance
  • use indigo or bright purple colours
  • trust in the closure that arrives through communication (direct or indirect)
  • make positive aspirations
  • work with crystals
  • honour ancestors
  • write

If we really look into “where this will to continue comes from” we will find an immaculate loving golden heart. We continue because we are ALL linked up from the heart and the love that can be experienced (even for a second) outlasts all the doubts that arise when contemplating existence.

This Full Moon wants us to respect and remember how we are all in this together. Yes, we have gone over this phrase quite a few times though it is probably never ever really enough. Lets remember the glory of interconnected-ness. Lets remember just how important it is to see the bigger picture and to choose wise compassion for all beings no matter what.
